Remember To Pack That Lost Shaker Of Salt

Light yellow-green (more on the yellow side). Sniffing and there’s a blend of lemon/lime/orange along with cardamon, a childhood greenery smell of wild flowers & my mom’s marigolds that we picked and let them reseed & spread every year, and a light mineral smell Mondariz natural sparkling water. Sipping and my tastebuds are alert and tingling from all of the scents. The lime/lemon/orange is joined along with a bitter zest bite, a cane sugar kiss with a salty wink, and a background tequila good sizzle/burn. It’s all around a pop of vibrant joyful life.

Pairs with Cheez-It’s: just don’t

This truly is a party in a tiny bottle, but I’ve just noticed on their site if you want to celebrate a little extra, they now have a 750 ml that’s ready to go. All you need is to pack that “lost shaker of salt”. 🍋🍋‍🟩🧂

Yellow-green shimmer pour. Sniffing a smoky ginger fueled cocktail with lime/citrus & zest. Sipping and woof this is good. Right of the bat a sexy bit of smoke gets in my eyes, followed by a lemon/lime with a little agave sweetness, ginger (not Mary Ann) that gives a flirtatious twitch & wink, and a delicate drop of orange bitters. It’s a sweet & savory blend that is simply scrumptious.

Pairs with Cheez-Its: This is a hard NO

Since tomorrow is National Margarita Day it seems appropriate to uncap a bottle by one of my favorite cocktail makers Wandering Barman. Albeit it’s not a national holiday but one created by a tequila lover who also started National Tequila Day that lands annually on 7/24. Yes, it’s been hijacked by restaurants. Heck, even Chili’s & Lifetime teamed up for a “mini movie” or rather a 15 minute commercial, “I’ll Be Home for National Margarita Day” (debuted on 2/19 & airs again on the 22nd). Yes, I’m sure it will be silly, funny, and junk food tv; but honestly who cares because this holiday is an excuse to kick back with one whether it be classic, fruity, or spicy, and remember to find that 🎶lost shaker of salt🎶.

Searchin’ For My Lost Shaker of Salt

A tall takeaway glass of frosty yellow. Sniff and it’s citrus candy. Pop in the straw and again citrus candy that becomes tart and white pepper thrown in. Then there’s that tequila kick and small burn! This is so so delicious on this sweaty hot day, and I know I should only drink one because boy, this is strong.

Pairs with Cheez-It’s: Heightens the white pepper and the tequila!

Ok, this is fun and I didn’t have to think a lot, and after one or two of these you won’t be able to either. Also pairs really well with Sugarburg’s Throwback Burger. Now that’s a mini-staycation for me. Happy holiday weekend y’all!
